Shawn
Hrncir, Ph.D., Health Educator, an
Indiana native was raised in the Midwest and moved
to Albuquerque where she received a BS in Special
Education, an MS in Elementary Education, and holds
a Ph.D in Health Education from the University of
New Mexico. She currently works as a Behavior Management
Consultant and an instructor at the University of
New Mexico and the Albuquerque Technical Vocational
Institute.
Lisa Wood Ruggles was born an "Air Force Brat" in Savannah, Georgia. While a child, her family moved to New Mexico where she graduated from the University of New Mexico's Anderson School of Management in 1993 with a BS in Accounting and obtained her CPA certificate. |

The initial inspiration for Preparing Fido™ came during Ruggles’ pregnancy-when she had to ‘break the news’ of her upcoming daughter’s birth to her ‘first baby’ – her Doberman Bailey. As dog and baby lovers, Hrncir and Ruggles asked themselves “How do mothers-to-be prepare their beloved pets psychologically for the ‘big event?’ They then set out to find the answers, which led to the creation of Preparing Fido™ |
